Izzy is a journalist who usually writes a technology column for a local newspaper. Her somewhat-intimidating boss William sets her the task of dating thirty-one men, via an internet dating site, all within a month, and writing about it for the paper. Having an active, though fruitless, social life with her friend Donna, Izzy knows what she wants in a man, so creates a shopping list of dos and don´ts and starts ticking them off as she meets the men. Follow the ups and downs of the dating process including Tim ´the Weeble´, whose date leads Izzy to see banoffee pie in a whole new light, Lawrence the super-skinny social worker, Felix with his bizarre penchant for Persian Piranhas, and ´the music maestro but don´t talk about dead pets´ Jake. By the end of the month, will Izzy have met Mr Right?

Northern Ireland´s capital, Belfast, nestles in a semicircle of hills, where the River Lagan enters Belfast Lough. About a third of the population of Northern Ireland live here. The Titanic was built here and the dock where that was done has been preserved, along with the cranes and equipment used. Even the offices where the ship was designed remain as they were. Then there is County Antrim, which is beautiful. Its coast is dotted with beaches and rocky inlets. Inland there are nine glens, which descend to the sea. In addition to wonderful scenery, with forests, rivers and waterfalls, the landscape is dominated by spectacular ruins of fortresses built by Gaelic chieftains and Norman invaders. The area called Cityside includes at its core the only intact medieval walled city in Ireland or the British Isles. Facing it is the Waterside area. Saint Columba founded a monastery here in 546. Take a walk along the walls of the medieval city. Criss-crossed by mountains, moorland and inland waters, the Sperrins has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. What makes it so wonderful is that it is so peaceful. Tyrone is the largest county in the North yet has the smallest population. There are also nature trails and forest parks to explore. From the 18th to the last century, a huge number of its people left to seek new lives in North America and there are many places closely associated with them - ancestral family homes of US Presidents and other prominent figures, such as the Mellons, who founded Pittsburgh, Davy Crockett, President Woodrow Wilson and Ulysses S. Grant. Next comes County Down, where St. Patrick settled. He landed on the shore of Strangford Lough in 442 AD and is believed to be buried at Downpatrick. All of the hotels and places to eat are detailed as well, plus the hikes, walking tours, bike trips, boat tours and more. Entertainment, shopping, how to get around, sightseeing and more are described as well. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Nicholas Patrella. I´m the fat Puerto Rican - Polish girl who doesn´t feel like she belongs in her skin, or anywhere else for that matter. I´ve always been too much and yet not enough. Sugar Legowski-Gracia wasn´t always fat, but fat is what she is now at age seventeen. Not as fat as her mama, who is so big she hasn´t gotten out of bed in months. Not as heavy as her brother, Skunk, who has more meanness in him than fat, which is saying something. But she´s large enough to be the object of ridicule wherever she is: at the grocery store, walking down the street, at school. Sugar´s life is dictated by taking care of Mama in their run-down home - cooking, shopping, and, well, eating. A lot of eating, which Sugar hates as much as she loves. When Sugar meets Even (not Evan - his nearly illiterate father misspelled his name on the birth certificate), she has the new experience of someone seeing her and not her body. As their unlikely friendship builds, Sugar allows herself to think about the future for the first time, a future not weighed down by her body or her mother. Soon Sugar will have to decide whether to become the girl that Even helps her see within herself or to sink into the darkness of the skin-deep role her family and her life have created for her. 1. Some stories tiptoe up and whisper in your ear - all sweetness and gumdrops and happy-ever-after-after-there-you-go. Then, there are the weird ones. We´re talking talking-chickens, blue plague spam monkeys, tug boats of unbridled and fetid fecundity, tulwar-swinging cab drivers, malls that maul you, gnawing on screwdrivers and jig-lining elder gods coming at you faster than a ride-on mow-down massacre mower shopping cart caravan. This is a collection for the seriously messed up minds of all you listeners who have grown tired of the trite detritus of day-to-day storytelling. These are some of the weirdest, most messed up mind-bending kind of stories that have ever been written - and I´m daring you to listen to them now. ´´Plague Monkey Spam´´ - a novella of spider-gods, storytelling and the kitchen sink. ´´Gnarly Ho-Tep Hoedown Two-step´´ - a story told over a hand of potato chip poker. ´´Hunger Time at the Midnight Mall´´ - a yarn of belly-grumble and fear. ´´The Last Curl of Gut Rope´´ - chicken, egg, chicken, egg, crack this riddle if you dare. All of this wonderful madness is brought to you by Steve Vernon - the creator behind the cult novella classic - Long Horn, Big Shaggy: A Tale of Wild West Terror and Reanimated Buffalo. 1. This book may change your life. It may save it. It is one of the most important - and most shocking - books ever written. Tomorrow! is a story of average, nice Americans living in the neighboring cities of Green Prairie and River City in Middle America. It is - until the sudden blitz - the story of the girl next door and her boyfriend; of the accountant who saw what was coming, and the rich old lady who didn’t; of engaging young kids, babies, ´´hoods,” a bank official who ´´borrowed” from a customer’s account. Then, at the height of the Christmas shopping season, Condition Red is sounded, and this down-to-earth story of America’s Main Street becomes a shattering, vivid experience of the nightmare that human beings have cooked up for themselves. Tomorrow! can be listened to as a novel of pure suspense - if you dare. It is a thriller in which the apocalyptic technology of today is superimposed on the future. But the novel is also designed to show Philip Wylie’s conclusions about America’s dangerous vulnerability to dread, hysteria, and panic, as well as his recommendations about what must be done. 1.
