A Marine and a Gentleman: Always a Marine, Book 9 (1 Night Stand Series) , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 70min
Lieutenant Brenden Fitzpatrick is a dedicated Marine, loyal son, and devoted uncle, but he's lonely. When he went Marine, the rule was don't ask, don't tell. His brothers-in-arms pretty much didn't ask and didn't care. Watching so many friends settle into long-term relationships highlighted the absence of someone to come home to in his life. When his unit encourages him to give the 1Night Stand service a try, he asks for the impossible - a night with the one man he almost gave up the Marines for in the first place. A man he called best friend but let time and distance carry away. Liam Gardiner grew up on the same Boston block as his best friend, Brenden. Unlike Brenden, Liam always accepted that he was gay - a fact he didn't mind flaunting to all the bullies and naysayers in school. It got his ass kicked more than once, but Brenden always had his back, rescuing him time and time again, until the day Brenden left for the Marines. He missed his buddy, the crush he never confessed, lest it cost him the precious friendship. When Madame Eve's invitation to meet Brenden arrives, Liam faces uncertainty for the first time. Life made them best friends, can Madame Eve help them become so much more? ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Alexander F. Lewis. Time on Their Side: Members Only, Book 3 , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 205min
Winston! "Oh, hey," Chip said lamely, spinning on his heel. "I didn't think you were still here." Seeing Brenden's confused look, he clarified. "No limo." "Oh, yeah." Brenden looked down at his boots, the brown leather just scuffed enough to be fashionable. "I hopped an Uber over. I thought maybe you'd give me a ride back to the hotel so we could talk." "I see." Chip's jaw tightened slightly. "I have my bike, so that won't work, but I'll wait with you if you want to get that ride back. We can talk while we wait." "I was really hoping we could get some time alone to talk without being rushed," Brenden offered quietly. "I have a lot to say. Doesn't your bike have a passenger seat?" "Yeah." Chip's voice was clipped. "But I don't carry passengers." Not anymore, anyway, he thought to himself. Brenden had been the last person to sit behind him, clinging to his waist, as the powerful Harley had devoured the road. "Okay." Disappointment registered clearly on Brenden's face. "Will you come back to the hotel with me?" "Naw, man." Chip stared over his shoulder. "I can't, not tonight." "Winston, please?" Brenden's voice held a pleading note. "I really need your help." "Don't call me that," Chip snapped, sharper than he meant to, and then felt a trace of shame as the smaller man took a step back. "Sorry," Chip muttered, shoving his hands in his pockets. "I go by Chip now." Brenden nodded. "Chip, then. I really do need your help." Chip sighed, long and deep. "Get your ride scheduled and tell me what you need." ungekürzt. Language: English. On the Fly: Portland Storm , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 527min
Injury after injury has put Brenden Campbell's NHL career on hold for years. Now he's playing for the Portland Storm and determined to make it stick. Few things in life drive him more than being told he can't have something he wants, and what he wants most is to prove he belongs. Brenden also wants Rachel Shaw, the cute, little redhead who just got hired as the general manager's new assistant. But then she went and made herself off-limits, telling him: "I don't date." Those three words pretty much guarantee that he'll do everything he can to change her mind. Rachel is changing things up on the fly for her family, moving them somewhere she can be the kind of mom her kids deserve. Allowing anyone else to be in their lives is out of the question, at least until her instincts get back on track. How else can she be sure who to steer the kids clear of? Right now she trusts no one, including herself, and especially not a man like Brenden Campbell. He's way too handsome and a little bit cocky. Falling for a guy like him is a mistake she can't afford to make twice. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Angel Clark. Od Magic , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 693min
Brenden Vetch has a gift. With an innate sense he cannot explain to himself or describe to others, he is able to connect to the agricultural world, nurturing gardens to flourish and instinctively knowing the healing properties each plant and herb has to offer. But Brenden's gift isolates him from people and from becoming part of a community - until the day he receives a personal invitation from the Wizard Od. She needs a gardener for her school in the great city of Kelior, where every potential wizard must be trained to serve the Kingdom of Numis. For decades the rulers of Numis have controlled the school, believing they can contain the power within it, and have punished any wizard who dares defy the law. But unknown to the reigning monarchy is the power possessed by the school's new gardener, a power that even Brenden isn't fully aware of, and which is the true reason Od recruited him. ungekürzt. AMENRA (BE)It is never easy to write a press release for a band in a day and age when every output of any possible band is pushed onto people as the next big thing, revelation, comeback or simply the best thing ever. To write a press release that does not require even native speakers of English to consult a dictionary can prove to be quite the task as well. After all, the magnificence of certain bands sometimes needs the grandeur of big words. In Amenra?s case it?s extremely tempting to use every superlative in the book, but in the vein of the attitude that is pouring out of the band?s every pore, here?s to keeping it modest. Amenra have been paving their own headstrong way in the 12 years since their inception, from overlooked releases and poorly attended show to critically acclaimed albums, sold out shows and the utmost respect of their listeners, peers and even heroes. Always putting heart and soul into every note, word and image and changing the course of people?s lives everywhere their path leads them.Recent history has shown an extremely confident and focused Amenra. Besides touring on their own and with Neurosis, the band has been branching out and taking modest steps onto ?for the band? virgin territory. They have released an acoustic record, compiled a book, dare I say bible, thereby vulnerably offering their heart and inspiration to those inspired by them, took part in various art exhibitions and held the now legendary ?23.10? concert which was later followed by a live DVD and a slew of split releases with audio from this concert, all the while constantly gaining followers, members of the Church Of Ra, a sect, now thousands in numbers. In the last months Amenra?s eyes have been directed straight at the future. Having found a home in the NeurotRecords nest, both ambitions and expectations for their upcoming release, ?Mass V?, the band?s fifth studio album, are high. And as you know and ? if you?re fortunate enough- might have experienced, Amenra doesNOT disappoint.? vince ? rise and fallSACRI MONTI (US)Southern Californian Sacri Monti is a five piece psychedelic off to space rocket. The natural word to follow that is ?exclusively,? but that?s not quite true in this case, as it would indicate a single-mindedness that neither they nor their self-titled six-track/43-minute Tee Pee Records full-length debut actually possess. The album instead working in a natural-flowing, bright toned spectrum of guitar-driven, organ-laced classic heavy psych, six-stringers Brenden Dellar(also vocals) and Dylan Donavon, Evan Wenskay (organ, synthesizer), bassist Anthony Meier (also of Radio Moscow) and drummer Thomas Dibenedetto (also of JOY) touching on progressive ideas and methods without going full-on krautrock noodle or losing their sense of groove.Sacri Monti is an exciting opening salvo from an act whose promise feels written into each of its jams, and whose balance between songcraft and improvisation serves as an immediately distinguishing factor amid an increasingly crowded Southern Californian heavy psych scene.KALEIDOBOLT (FIN)With one foot in classic heavy power-trio rock ?n? roll and the other knee-deep in psychedelic frenzy, Finland?s Kaleidobolt blast off into inner space with their third album, Bitter. Having perfected their craft on the road all across Europe, with two previous albums under their collective belt, Kaleidobolt have become a fierce live experience, guaranteed to blow minds and ears. Kaleidobolt, however, are far from your usual deafening stoner rock experience. Their music is all about texture and depth, and beneath the lysergically frenzied riffs hide worlds of exquisite soundscapes. Kaleidobolt was formed in Helsinki in 2014 and it quickly gathered notoriety for their blistering live performances. For the past 6 years, Kaleidobolt has been hellraising in most European countries both as support and headliner, playing at many festivals and club shows.CRANIAL (D)Michael Melchers (ex-Omega Massif) founded the sludge / post-metal formation CRANIAL in 2014 with Julian Weidhaus (bass, vocals), Cornelius Merlin (drums) and Sebastian Kröckel (guitar).CRANIAL quickly worked on the first tracks and recorded them in the Blank Disc Studio. The international press was full of praise and an invitation to the renowned Droneburg Festival followed. In the summer of 2016, CRANIAL then booked again the Tonmeisterei to record the debut album at RoleWiegener. As on the EP, the songs on ?Dark Towers / Bright Lights? are dark, heavy and transport an enormously threatening atmosphere.
