    Lamarotte - 4 Stunden Jazz
    Wir schreiben das Jahr 1974 als eine Gruppe begeisterter Jazzliebhaber aus Tilburg und Umgebung, das Dixie Street Orchestra LAMAROTTE etabliert. Das Orchester wird dann eines der ersten Straßenorchester in den Niederlanden sein. Die Idee, Jazz zu machen, ist nicht allzu ernst. Man könnte sagen: ?Jazz mit einem Augenzwinkern?. In diesem Zusammenhang ist auch der gewählte Name des Orchesters zu sehen. Für das Orchester gilt sowohl die französische Bedeutung (narrenkap) als auch die niederländische Bedeutung (let it rot). Im Laufe der Jahre hat LAMAROTTE einen einzigartigen Stil und einen unvergleichlichen eigenen Sound entwickelt. Das Repertoire besteht aus einer Mischung aus echtem Dixieland und Old Style Jazz. Bemerkenswert ist auch, dass das Orchester nicht nur als Lauforchester, sondern auch als Bühnenorchester eingesetzt werden kann, wobei anzumerken ist, dass die Musik hervorragend arrangiert ist. Ergebnis: Zahlreiche Auftritte bei nationalen und internationalen Jazzfestivals. Highlights: Der jährliche Auftritt beim größten Jazzfestival Europas in Dresden, Upton upon Severn in England, Cala d?Or auf Mallorca, Teneriffa, Mailand, Cork in Irland, Dänemark, etc. Seitdem 1 LP (1984) und 8 Es sind Einzel-CDs erschienen und im Jubiläumsjahr 2014 eine Doppel-CD. Diese letzte 2-CD enthält eine Auswahl von Songs, ausgewählt von Lamarotte, mit Gastauftritten einiger ehemaliger Mitglieder von Lamarotte. Außerdem enthält es fünf neue Stücke und da der erste Tonträger auf LP erschienen ist, wurde er remastered und als 2. CD dem Album hinzugefügt.Im Jahr 2019 wurde Lamarotte 9 mit einigen einzigartigen Live-Aufnahmen aufgezeichnet.2019 feierte Lamarotte sein 45-jähriges Jubiläum im Koning-Willem-II-Stadion in Tilburg. Nach einer turbulenten Zeit, unter anderem aufgrund von COVID-19 und dem Tod von Bandleader Jan Hoes, geht die Band im August 2021 erstmals mit neuer Besetzung wieder auf Tour.
