The quiet peace of the night will soon be replaced with the bustle and activity of a new day, a scene to which I have become accustomed over the past few weeks is now the routine of my daily life. I am sitting at Mother’s bedside, holding her hand.After her visit from the “Old Folks’ Friend” three weeks ago, the deathwatch began. Meadow Brook has become the “Valley of the Shadow”. For a few moments here and there, mother awakens. Her mind is clear. God has given me the greatest gift of all: He has given me my mother back. We hold tight to each other. We sing. We recite poems from her childhood. We talk about her life and her death.She slips in and out of consciousness. My mind races through the pages of our lives and reviews all the experiences that have brought us growth, both through gain and through loss. Original Soundtrack des 1982er Kult-Horror-Klassikers Pieces das erste mal und nur auf Vinyl erhältlich.Für ein Kettensägenmassaker muss man nicht nach Texas fahren! We Release Whatever The Fuck We Want Records wird in Kürze den Soundtrack des Kult-Slasherfilms Pieces aus dem Jahre 1982 veröffentlichen, das erste Mal überhaupt auf Vinyl erhältlich. Der Plot des Filmes enthält zwar so viele Löcher, dass es unmöglich ist zu folgen, doch dafür gibt es Kettensägen, abgetrennte Köpfe, mieses schauspielerische Leistungen, absurde Szenen.... und einen brillanten Soundtrack. Der Film wird gelobt u.a. von Eli Roth (Hostel, Inglorious Basterds, Grindhouse...) und wurde zum Fan - Favoriten über die Jahre, auf vielen Festivals wurde er heimlicher Star. Der Soundtrack ist überraschend elegant, bedrohliche Synthies, soulige Eskapaden, eine gute Prise Jazz, eine ausgewogene Mischung, inspiriert von den Giallo und Blaxploitation Soundtracks der 70er und dem klassischen Horror-Soundtracks der 80er. Das limitierte Vinyl enthält Songs von Stelvio Ciprani, der schon den OST für La Polizia Sta A Guardare (1973) machte, dessen Thema 2007 in Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof wieder auftauchte. Er machte auch schon Soundtracks für Spaghetti-Western mit Stars wie Tony Anthony. Dazu gibt es Stücke von Carla Maria Cordo, der den OST für Joe D'Amato's gorefest Absurd (1981) bzw. Anthropophagus 2, Monster Hunter, Horrible or The Grim Reaper 2, ein so grausamer Film, der lange auf dem Index stand. Lucio Fulci-Kompmonist Fabio Frizzi (auch Zombie aka Zombi 2, L'Aldilà aka The Beyond, City of the Living Dead aka The Gates of Hell and the list goes on) ist mit Cocktail Molotov dabei.
