Minghini Cattaneo debütierte 1918 in Savona mit Il Trovatore, wechselte dann an das Stadttheater Zürich, später nach Mailand und Parma. Der Durchbruch erfolgte mit dem Auftritt in der Rolle von Ortruda 1926 an der Seite u.a. von Beniamino Gigli am Teatro Comunale in Bologna. Ihre lebendige Stimme war von großer Intensität, ausgestattet mit einer Palette von Farben und einem außergewöhnlichen Umfang. Sie starb in ihrem Haus in Brindisi bei einem Bombenangriff.- Shop: odax

American baritone Marcus DeLoach has been hailed by Anthony Tommasini of The New York Times as 'a fine baritone who puts words across with clarity and naturalness.' One of the leading performers of contemporary music today, he has established himself in the areas of opera, concert, and cross-over. Most recently he returned to the New York Philharmonic Orchestra for performances of Sciarrone TOSCA with Lorin Maazel in Avery Fisher Hall, made his debut as The French Ambassador OF THEE I SING for the Bard Summerscape Festival production, and sang Nilakantha LAKMÉ for Tulsa Opera. In 2009/2010 seasons he will make his debut at Teatro Comunale di Bolzano (Italy) as Jean in Philippe Boesmans' JULIE, Ebn-Hakia IOLANTA at Kentucky Opera, Schaunard LA BOHÈME Hawaii Opera and the Bard Summerscape Festival as Maurevert LES HUGUENOTS. Mr. DeLoach made his debut at Seattle Opera as Schaunard LA BOHÈME in 2007 and received critical acclaim that same year for his Opera Ireland (Dublin) debut as a "powerfully convincing" Joseph De Rocher in Jake Heggie's DEAD MAN WALKING. Mr. DeLoach was a principal artist of New York City Opera from 2000-2006 where he sang the roles of Count Almaviva LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, Satyr and Citheron PLATÉE, Slim OF MICE AND MEN, Don Alvaro IL VIAGGIO A REIMS, Schaunard LA BOHÈME, and many others. He has performed with Central City Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Nashville Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, Boston Lyric Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Tulsa Opera, American Opera Projects, The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and others. With a deep commitment to the creation and promotion of contemporary vocal music Mr. DeLoach has created principal roles in the world premiers of Wiesman's/Hoiby's DARKLING Beeferman's THE RAT LAND, Drattell's LILITH and MARINA: A CAPTIVE SPIRIT and Paul Schoenfield's THE MERCHANT AND THE PAUPER. In 2006, he authored his first libretto for Jeff Grace's opera THE TRAIN RIDE presented by the American Opera Projects and as a composer he has written MOOCH THE MESSY an opera for children based on the book by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat. He has recorded several CDs of modern operatic works for Naxos including Scott Wheeler's THE CONSTRUCTION OF BOSTON and SCENES FROM JEWISH OPERAS 2 with Gerard Schwartz and the Seattle Symphony. In concert he has appeared with THE NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA under the baton of Maestros Riccardo Muti and Lorin Maazel as well as numerous appearances with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and the Marilyn Horne Foundation. In1997 Mr. DeLoach was unanimously voted the first place winner of London's inaugural WIGMORE HALL INTERNATIONAL SONG COMPETITION and went on to give a critically acclaimed recital debut there in 1999. Of his singing, Hilary Finch of The London Times has written, 'A well-groomed voice, a flair for programme shaping, a fervent desire to communicate, and, above all, that elusive fusion of instinct and understanding which sparks a quality of imagination transcending mere accomplishment.' Adding to the credits of his cross-over career, in 2004 he joined the acclaimed rock group TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA for their rock opera 'Christmas Eve and Other Stories' in a tour which included Madison Square Garden and the Fleet Center performing for an estimated audience of one quarter million. Mr. DeLoach holds both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School. He has also attended The Britten-Pears School, New England Conservatory, and The Music Academy of the West. FIAMMETTA FACCHINI Pianist - Harpsicordist If you watched the movie "The English Patient", you have heard Fiammetta Facchini perform. Anm accomplished pianist and harpsicordist, Ms. Facchini's work has been used in several movie soundtracks. Fiammetta Facchini received her diploma in piano performance in 1988, completing ten-year course of study at the Conservatorio "G. Rossini" in Pesaro, Italy. After earning the "Diplome de Virtuosité" in Switzerland, in 1990, with Professor Eduardo Vercelli, Ms. Facchini did further post-graduate work at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, the Accademia Mozarteum in Salzburg, and the Accademia "F. Liszt" in Budapest. As a member of the chamber music ensemble, Ms. facchini completed year-long programs at the prestigious music schools in Fiesole and Saluzzo. She studied under prominent musicians such as Sirbu, Gheorghiu, Trio di Trieste..., graduating with distinction. In 1998 she also earned a degree in harpsicord performance at the Conservatorio "A. Casella" in Aquila. Ms. Facchini has toured France, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Hungary, Austria and U.S.A. either as a soloist as a member of a chamber music ensemble. Currently, she is professor and pianist accompanist at the Professional School in Espinho, pianist accompanist at the University of Porto (Portugal) and professor of piano at the Superior Institute Piaget of Viseu .She plays in a violin and piano duo with Ludovico Tramma, with whom she has won many prizes in national and international competitions. In 2007 they recorded a CD for Afinaudio (Portugal), with the sonata in d minor by Schumann and the sonata op.47 "A Kreutzer" by Beethoven. Diplomatasi in Pianoforte presso il Conservatorio "G. Rossini" di Pesaro, ha frequentato numerosi e prestigiosi corsi di perfezionamento alla Chigiana, al "Mozarteum", a Budapest, a Parigi. Ha studiato, inoltre al Conservatorio di Ginevra e presso il Conservatorio di Neuchatel, dove ha conseguito l'importante "Diplome de Virtuosité" in Pianoforte sotto la guida del pianista argentino EDUARDO VERCELLI (1935-1993, 1° Premio Concorso di Monaco). Ha studiato inoltre, per un anno, con il TRIO DI TRIESTE a Fiesole (FI) e presso la Scuola APM di Saluzzo (CN), superando l'esame finale con il massimo dei voti. Ha vinto Premi in Concorsi Nazionali ed Internazionali di interpretazione (come solista ed in formazioni cameristiche). Piccinii" di Bari. Nel 1998, ha conseguito il Diploma di Clavicembalo, con il massimo dei voti, presso il Conservatorio "A. Casella" de L'Aquila con la Prof. Ssa M.C. Sieni ed è stata per tre anni Direttore della Scuola Comunale di Musica di Sora (FR). Nel corso dell'ultima edizione del Concorso biennale per violino Vittorio Veneto, ha eseguito la Sonata di Hintemith (1939), esecuzione per la quale e' stato conferito il Premio Speciale dalla Fondazione Hindemith di Blonay (Svizzera). Sempre in Duo con Tramma ha vinto il III° Premio al Concorso Internazionale "Riviera del Conero" (Ancona), il III° Premio al Concorso Nazionale "Lucus" di Potenza ed una borsa di studio per seguire le Master Classes dell'IMS Prussia Cove in Cornovaglia (Inghilterra) con Ferenc Rados, Lorand Fenyves e Gábor Takács-Nagy. Nel 2005 si è Diplomata in musica da camera, con il massimo dei voti, e la lode presso il Conservatorio "S. Cecilia di Roma".Attualmente e' Professoressa di Pianoforte e Accompagnamento presso la Scuola Professionale di Musica di Espinho, (Portogallo) e presso l'Università' la Cattolica di Porto. *********************************************************** LUDOVICO TRAMMA violinist-violist Ludovico Tramma has graduated in violin, viola and post graduated in chamber music with 110/110 at the Conservatory 'S. Cecilia ' in Roma with maestros A. Salvatore, B. Antonioni, M. Lenzi and then with G. Prencipe and G. Franzetti. He was effective member of EUYO (European Union Youth Orchestra) and has made part, as a concertmaster, in the Italian Youth Orchestra. In three years 1993/95 he has followed the course of String Quartet with the M° Farulli at the School of Music in Fiesole and at the Chigiana Academy in Siena, achieving the prestigious 'diploma of honour'. He won the I° Prize at the National Competition of Chamber Music 'Vittorio Veneto, the II° Prize (without awarding the first prize) at the International Competition of Chamber Music in Caltanissetta and the II° Prize at the International Competition Rotary in Cremona, always with String Quartet. He has attended constantly the courses of Chamber Music at the Chigiana with M° R. Brengola and in 1997 has gained a scholarship to participate to the International Festival of Okinawa in Japan. In 1996/97 he has followed the course of Violin at the Rowan University in New Jersey (U.S.A.) with Mrs. Ciulei-Atanasiu, with another scholarship awarded from the same university. A further scholarship has allowed him to participate at the Banff Festival in Canada with the Italian pianist Fiammetta Facchini and, as Duo, he has awarded the II° Prize and the Special Prize for the best Violin and Piano's Duo at the National Competition of Chamber Music 'S. Fuga" in Torino and the V° Prize at the "Trapani International Competition". He has won, moreover, the competition for Violin sections and concertmaster of second violin section at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari. In 2001 he has awarded the Special Prize for the best execution of Sonata of Hindemith at the "Vittorio Veneto" National Competition and the III° Prize at the International Competition 'Coast of the Conero' in Ancona. In November 2001, he has won the competition for violin section at the Teatro dell'Opera in Roma and in 2002 he has gained the III° Prize at the "Lucus" Chamber Music competition in Potenza. He has kept tounées in France, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Hungary, Austria, Poland, Canada, U.S.A., Australia and Japan either as a soloist or as a member of a chamber music ensemble. At the end, he has recorded for Dynamic, Decca and Dygital. Diplomato in violino, viola e Laureato in Musica da Camera con 110/110, ha studiato presso il Conservatorio "S. Nell'anno 1996/97 ha seguito il corso di Violino presso la Rowan University of New Jersey negli USA con la S.ra Ciulei-Atanasiu, grazie ad una borsa di studio messa a disposizione dalla stessa Università. Klein Ist Die Welt
Das musikalische Bestreben der Banda Comunale bzw. Internationale war es in den letzten Jahren, einen kulturellen Gegenpol in einer von rechtspopulistischen, fremdenfeindlichen und europaskeptischen Tendenzen dominierten gesellschaftlichen Stimmung darzustellen. Die Konsequenzen aus der Corona-Pandemie trafen uns als eine seit 2001 existierende interkulturelle, politisch und sozio-kulturell agierende, öffentlich sichtbare Band auf dem Höhepunkt dieses Engagements. Unser zentrales Brecht-Programm mit Bernadette la Hengst zu Flucht und Vertreibung an der Volksbühne und im Kampnagel im April und Mai 2020 konnte nicht stattfinden sowie rund 50 weitere Auftritte im In- und Ausland. Ein Schicksal, das wir mit Millionen Musiker*innen weltweit teilen. Wir gehen zuerst und kommen zuletzt, wie es in "Systemrelevant" heißt. Auftritte der ganzen Band vor großem Publikum wird es mittelfristig vermutlich nicht geben. Deshalb haben wir die Zeit genutzt, um die vergangenen Jahre, Begegnungen, Freundschaften, Inspirationen und Erfahrungen zu verarbeiten und in einem Album zu dokumentieren. Ein wesentlicher Bestandteil unserer Musik ist stets der Kontakt und Austausch mit anderen, internationalen Musiker* innen gewesen. Viele dieser Künstler*innen konnten wir im Herbst 2020 dafür gewinnen, sich an unserem Album zu beteiligen. Mit vielen sind wir seit Jahren freundschaftlich verbunden, mit einigen wollten wir schon immer musizieren, einige wenige haben wir bislang leider nicht persönlich treffen können. Die allerwenigsten konnten wir in unser Studio einladen. Gemeinsam sind trotz teilweise kontinentaler Distanz Stücke und Arrangements entstanden, die eine für Musik aber auch jede andere künstlerische Form notwendige Weltoffenheit und Grenzen überwindende Zusammenarbeit widerspiegeln. Es hat funktioniert und es klingt verdammt gut. Auch hier, auf diesem Album, wollen wir den globalen Gedanken, das grenzenlose Europa, zwischenmenschliche Solidarität und Verbundenheit in Zeiten von Kontaktbeschränkungen, wachsendem Nationalismus und Verschwörungstheorien weiterhin leben, hörbar machen und die Systemrelevanz einer schrankenlos vernetzen Kultur unter Beweis stellen.
