Bug World is a reconstructed civil war era home refurbished by an entomologist as a road side amusement center and educational facility that gives tours showcasing all kinds of insects and sells ant farms, butterfly gardens and more. Harold "Bugs" Smithton, proprietor-entomologist, also teaches at universities and consults with coroners and law enforcement officials as a forensic entomologist like TJ with Bones and Gil Grisham of CSI. Other characters are newspaper man and his family, reporter, Sheriff Clete Beecher, a physics professor and a biology professor at a nearby university. The profs are noticing certain trends that indicate the extinction of man. Bugs Smithton understands that we are, as he says, "temporary guests in a Bug World." Hardcore rock band Korn formed in 1993 when two bands combined: Sexart and LAPD. Jonathan Davies was lead singer with Sexart, whilst also working as an assistant coroner in the Korn County (California) Coroners Department, and James Schaffer, Reginald Arvizu, Brian Welch, and David Silveria were part of LAPD. Korn's alternative funk - metal sound has positioned the group as one of the most exciting, popular, and provocative bands to emerge during the post-grunge era. This is not an authorised artist, record, or management music release, but an exclusive and unique Korn Audiobiog. Korn's relentless scheduling of tours, opening for artists such as Marilyn Manson and Ozzy Osbourne, resulted in their debut album going gold, together with the creation of a loyal fan base. Sure to shock and be controversial, this is a must for the fan and collector. Language: English. Narrator: Joe Jacks, Pete Bruns. The brutal murder of the Rev. George Parker in the rural village of Oddingley on Midsummer's Day in 1806 - shot and beaten to death, his body set on fire and left smouldering in his own glebe field - gripped everyone from the Home Secretary to newspapermen across the country. It was a strange and stubborn case. The investigation lasted 24 years and involved inquests, judges, and coroners, each more determined than the last to solve the gruesome crime. Damn His Blood is a fascinating glimpse into English life at the start of the 19th century. England was exhausted and nervous: dogged by Pitt's war taxes, mounting inflation, and the lingering threat of a French invasion, violence was rife, particularly in rural communities where outsiders were regarded with deep suspicion. Damn His Blood is a nail-biting true story of brutality, greed, and ruthlessness, which brings an elusive society vividly back to life. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Michael Maloney. Death is the one thing about life that we can all be sure of. But exactly how we shuffle off this mortal coil is another story altogether. The boring among us may well gently drift off in our sleep, gratefully avoiding the fate of those whose inner flame is extinguished by disease or disaster. If we’re lucky, the manner of our passing will warrant no more than a tick in some box somewhere, a ‘plus one’ to some statistician’s calculation. Yet some individuals’ deaths will occur in such a way that they are remembered long past the achievements made in their lives. From almost three millennia ago - when the politician Draco was suffocated by the gifts with which an appreciative audience showered him - to the present day, the fates have oh so generously woven their magic to ensure that certain members of the human race have met the choir invisible in ever more interesting circumstances. This audiobook examines a fair number of such cases, where the unexpected is the norm and the bizarre commonplace. From the humorous to the tragic and the gruesome, prepare yourself for a morbid trip through the kind of material coroners secretly share at their Christmas parties. Welcome to 101 Amazing Unusual Deaths. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Jason Zenobia. Audio sample: https://samples.audible.de/bk/entn/000931/bk_entn_000931_sample.mp3. Berlin oder Düsseldorf? Ganz klar: Hamburg!

15 March 1973 In an attempt to finally capture the infamous serial killer known as “The Bedtime Butcher” on a lead given by a woman who claimed to have escaped her demise, the FBI had but little success at his apprehension. After arriving at the killer's supposed location, the FBI and many local officers rushed to surround the home located in the backwoods of Dryfork, West Virginia. What the authorities found will now remain in their nightmares for the rest of their lives. The terror discovered on the site where “The Bedtime Butcher” harbored his victims brought officers to their knees, a horrid stench induced vomiting amongst a few, prolonging the investigation until authorities could regain their balance to reenter the home and face the leftovers from the malicious and most gruesome happenings that had gone on in the residence. Officials are said to have recovered 15 bodies collectively, but that number isn’t certain due to the several body parts strung around the interior of the home, including in the refrigerator/freezer, microwave, oven, dresser drawers, closets, and in the bed of The Butcher. The exact number of victims will not be known until coroners give certainty regarding the identity of the individuals, matching the body parts to the victims, and other tests are done. The police have discovered what seems to be a diary of The Butcher and it is expected to give clues regarding the investigation. Officers are in search of the killer as of now and are currently searching the woodlands surrounding the property. The killer is thought to be a Mr. Michael Marvin Lewis and is considered extremely armed and dangerous. If you know this man or have seen this man do not approach him, contact authorities immediately. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Marcus Price. Based on a true story by Hannah Howe, author of the Amazon number one Sam Smith Mystery series, Saving Grace, "the courtroom drama of the year."The Western Mail2 August 1876Sensation in the Charles Petrie Case!Listeners may recall that a young banker, by the name of Mr Charles Petrie, with every opportunity of succeeding in his profession, and commanding a not illiberal income, returned home after riding his horse to dine with his wife, Grace, and her companion, Mrs Quinn. During and after dinner he had nothing to excite him save the receipt of a letter which somewhat annoyed him, and that his wife consumed rather more wine than he considered to be good for her health. Immediately after retiring to his room, he was seized with symptoms of irritant poisoning, and despite every effort made on his behalf, he succumbed to its effects. An inquest was held, which vexed the minds of the Coroner’s jury to a degree without precedent in Coroners’ Inquest Law, and an open verdict was returned. However, the matter will not rest there, for after questions in Parliament, a second inquest has been called under suspicion that Mr Charles Petrie was murdered.Who poisoned Charles Petrie? Dr. James Collymore, a man familiar with poisons, a man harboring a dark secret that, if exposed, would ruin his career; Florrie, the maid who supplied Charles with his bedtime drink; Bert Kemp, a disgruntled groom, who used poisons in his work, who four months previously had predicted Charles’ dying day; Mrs Jennet Quinn, a lady’s companion with a deep knowledge of poisons, and a deep fear of dismissal; or Grace Petrie, Charles’ wife of four months, a woman with a scandalous past, a woman shunned by polite society. With crowds flocking to the courtroom and the shadow of suspicion falling upon Grace in the shape of the hangman’s noose, could dashing young advocate Daniel Morgan save her? ungekürzt.
