    Faith Will Get You There
    The first song I can remember loving as a little kid was "Love Letters In The Sand" by Pat Boone. I spent a lot of time listening to and singing along with the radio as I grew up. I was there in front of the tube in 1964 every Sunday night the new music phenomena's were on the Ed Sullivan Show with all the other mezmorized kids across America, they were the "Beatles". It was in 1967 while in the middle of an argument with girlfriend, that her brother said, "hey Bob wanna go to my band practice with me?" That answer was "Oh yea!" Anyway, I wound up that night becoming the lead singer of that band called "Neon Rainbow". We never got famous but had a lot of fun. In '68 I went in the service and played around with music in the service clubs with other wanna b's that had not become famous either, but here we were. I started writing in the seventies, even learned a couple chords on a cheap guitar. I played in a few bars and found that I had a competition going on with my love for music and my love for alcohol, alcohol won. I never lost my great passion for music but just didn't have the ability to write or perform anymore. I spent most of my life going up the ladder to success and then back down. It wasn't until I finally fell flat on my face after having some success in my life that I took a real hard look at myself and realized, hey Bob, this ain't workin'. Something got me headed in the right direction. It was like a miracle, I had just ended a relationship with a girl that was going no where. So I went and got a 12-pack and a couple packs of cigarettes and went to my patio to have a pity party. It was a short party, I opened a beer, lit a smoke, started to take a drink and the beer smelled bad. I started to take a drag from the cig and it didn't smell any better. Into the trash went the beer and cigarettes, I was done with that. A couple years later I got married to Nancy at the church that re-introduced me to Salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ. Life really started to improve. In 2007 I went with a church group to Mississippi as a Volunteer to help rebuild some of the devastation from hurricane Katrina. While there Nancy and I were asked to come and work as the Volunteer co-ordinators there at Camp Gulfside. I really didn't have any excuse or reason to say no, since only a few weeks earlier a man, out of the blue, asked me if I would sell him my business, I told him my price and terms and the deal was finished in three weeks. So, I guess you could say I answered the Lord's call and went back to Waveland, Mississippi to work with the Volunteers. After some months of working there, our mission from the Lord was complete. We returned back to California. I started getting this urge to write songs again. So I went to a friends music store to buy a cheap guitar and wound up buying the best on in the store. I went home and wrote a song called "A Volunteer-A Friend" and I have dedicated that song to Volunteers around the world.Since then I have written over thirty more songs and continue to write today. Yes, I have seen a miracle. All those years of living a wicked life full of sin and not listening to that small still voice, even after several times of nearly being killed, I finally answered that voice and heeded the call and the Lord Jesus Christ has brought me to a place, this place with my one dream that never left me. He always answers our prayers, all we need to do is ask in sincerity and He will come in a take control and give us His Grace, Mercy and Amazing gifts. It is now that I share my gift with you, because now "Jesus Walks The Shore With Me".
