Hierbei ist die stark quellenbezogene Arbeit von Arnd Krüger „Die Olympischen Spiele von 1936 und die Weltmeinung“ herauszuheben. Aus dem englischsprachigen Raum sind vor allem die Werke von Richard D. Mandell „The Nazi Olympics“ und Duff Hart-Davis „Hitler’s Games“ bekannt. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Darstellung der Struktur und der Absichten der nationalsozialistischen Propaganda, sowie die Erläuterung der Propagandamaßnahmen im In- und Ausland sowohl vor als auch während der Spiele von Berlin. Abschließend folgt eine Einschätzung zu der Wirkung der Propaganda, wobei das auf Grund fehlender statistischer Informationen nur begrenzt möglich ist.
