Whiteness in Plain View (eBook, ePUB)
Whiteness in Plain View examines the ways white residents in towns, cities, and suburbs across Minnesota acted to intimidate, control, remove, and keep out African Americans over the course of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Their methods ranged from anonymous threats, vandalism, and mob violence to restrictive housing covenants, realtor deceit, and mortgage discrimination, and they were aided by support from local, state, and federal government agencies as well as openly complicit public officials. What they did was not an anomaly or aberration, in some particular place or passing moment, but rather common and continuous, prevalent throughout the state from decade to decade. Additionally, the all-white communities that resulted became their own justification, supporting the notion (among whites) that blacks' supposed racial failings must be what kept them out or demonstrating (to whites) that blacks wanted to live with their own race.

Manipulation Psychology: Beginners Guide to Mastering the Best NLP and Psychology Techniques, to Improve Empathy and the Art of Seduction and Attraction. , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 185min
Do you want to learn how to master the best NLP and psychology techniques, to improve empathy and the art of seduction and attraction? If yes, then keep reading...An individual who regards himself as an influencer will often try to help a person in one manner or another, in general. The manipulators are a reverse opposite, since their purpose is to regulate their victims secretly for their own gain, mostly without consideration for their victim. Therefore, in the difference between whether or not a specific action is of a manipulative nature, intention is something important to consider.More generally speaking, situations where this type of manipulation can be used are within the scope of the private, professional, romantic, and family life of an individual. Romantic covert emotional manipulation is undoubtedly the most lethal and common type of emotional manipulation.Just like these prevalent cases where it is frequently manifested, there are also some prevalent kinds of people who express the thoughts that support covert emotional manipulation. The trick to understanding this theory fully will require one to be able to find a relationship between this complex theory to the actual individual portrayals of its ideas. One such example of these personal portrayals of stealthy manipulation is in the broad field of relationships. In one way or another, the victim of this attempted control often chooses to leave said relationship since that is a line crossed. It is because of this very reason that, that most manipulators decide not to be open on their approach but, instead, approach manipulation in a very clandestine manner. The victim often gets subjected to complete emotional manipulation, without having to realize what is going on. This is often beneficial to the manipulator, since he is able to get his heart’s desire of controlling another person, while at the same time managing not to lose the victim. There will be no singi ungekürzt. Witness for the Defence, Hörbuch, Digital, 18min
The dramatised narrative Witness for the Defence relates an account of the unacceptable, but still prevalent, degradation of domestic violence. It remains an appalling fact that in the 21st century there are women all over the world who are being violated, both mentally and physically, by their abusive male partners - women who are reduced to a state of submissive, humiliating, subservience and despair, brain-washed, beaten ,and coerced into total submission. Too often they are alienated from their closest family. They are deprived of their property and kept under permanent surveillance. Such tragic women are subjugated and dispossessed of every natural human dignity and freedom, until they have nothing left in life to live for. This abusive behaviour is always perpetrated behind closed doors by men whom the rest of society may see as good natured and friendly. These men are control freaks, cunning psychopaths, who prey on vulnerable women, driven on by the cruelty and sense of power they derive from their achievements and behaviour. Many move from one woman to another in their misogynistic progress through life, leaving behind a trail of ruined lives. Sadly, all too often innocent children grow up in these abusive dysfunctional circumstances, with undesirable males as their role models, and, as adults, believe women must be submissive. Domestic violence is found at all levels of society and is prevalent in ethnic groups worldwide, especially amongst women for whom the education system has failed. Witness for the Defence seeks to shine a light into this 'crime without a public face'. The author, Margaret Harland-Suddes, is from central Northumbria in England. She was born and educated in the beautiful Cathedral City of Durham, where she attended both school and university. Margaret's entire adult life has been spent in education, where she has been particularly, but not exclusively, involved in English, art, and dr Language: English. Hidden Power of Speaking in Tongues , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 402min
Almost 40 years ago John and Elizabeth Sherill introduced the world to the phenomenon of speaking in tongues in their book, They Speak with Other Tongues. The book was an immediate success as thousands were touched by the power of this spiritual gift. The Hidden Power of Speaking in Tongues again explores this spiritual experience powerfully prevalent in the early church. This much maligned and controversial gift was a practical part of their worship and intercession and seeks to be rediscovered in our day. In a day of spiritual poverty, Chavda challenges the body of Christ to experience afresh the secret dynamic of speaking in tongues, as he removes the veil covering this glorious gift. ungekürzt. A Short History of Africa , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 569min
Dramatic alterations in political power have corrected the once prevalent vision of a European-centered world. While the centers of European culture flourished, decayed and sprouted in turn, empires in Africa rose, ruled, resisted, and succumbed. Much of Africa's past has now been excavated from ignorance and error, revealing a rich and previously little-known human heritage. This classic work draws on the whole range of literature about Africa as well as evidence provided by archaeology, oral traditions, language relationships, and social institutions. It marshals the most authoritative views of African specialists into an absorbing narrative and puts forward original conclusions that take the study of Africa a stage further. ungekürzt.
