Extended Family was formed in 2004 when Stump bought a guitar and asked his childhood friend, Geoff, to play with him. Geoff and Stumpy recruited their friend, Todd, to come and play with them on bass. Stumpy then suckered his co-worker Rick to come and be part of this happy experiment.
