America's Alien Invasion: The Lost UFO Encounters, Hörbuch, Digital, 60min
Most Americans have no idea that the White House was swarmed by UFOs not once but TWICE, once in 1952 and again in 1963. A massive UFO silently loomed over the huge Los Angeles Basin near the coast and was fired on for HOURS by US military forces leaving millions in damages and the loss of human life. No ship was retrieved only stalactite metals that could very well have been debris from an alien spacecraft from another world or dimension as top experts in quantum mechanics have proposed. These and other incidents have occurred in our recent past yet they are not common knowledge and are often shrugged off as fantasy or delusion. Explore the most astonishing and important UFO incidents of all time, the incidents that are of such enormous importance to national security that the world's leaders would have most certainly been informed. They KNOW that aliens are here, they have most likely known since the Aurora incident of 1892. Explore this phenomenon that is destined to impact our society, our world structure, our very being - WE ARE NOT ALONE. Language: English. Narrator: Stan Gordon, William Konkolesky, David Twitchell. On the Way or in the Way?: The Keys to Self Awareness , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 255min
The purpose of this book is to help you see what makes people tick. It might show you what makes you tick. I managed people for a good many years. Through my observations, I found ways to motivate people who seemed to lack drive and pride. I realized that all people are not the same, and I searched for ways to change attitudes and goals in everyone's favor. This thinking made me look closer at myself. I knew the most obvious thing. The one common denominator. Humans are 85 percenters. We are not designed to be perfect, work perfect, answer perfect, or act perfect. Even NASA, with a room full of rocket scientists, does not perform at 100 percent. But what if it all starts within ourselves? Finding the obvious hurdles can set our lives in motion toward our goals. "On the way" is better than "in the way". It truly starts with self awareness. Once we find our stride, it's easy to set the hurdles to a height that can be easy conquered. Life experiences are priceless and more can be learned from being on the way than being in the way. Life is all about attitude. Good attitude leads to a good life. Bad attitude results in a bad life. Some of this life is about you (not all of it). Take a serious interest in yourself. Free yourself of judgement, and enlighten yourself with awareness. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Steve Twitchell. Asian Haze , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 371min
DeWayne Twitchell has released his latest novel about secrets, drugs, and mystery. This book captures the listener quickly into the storyline and captures the heart of the listener. Randall has a PhD in history and teaches at a college in a small city in New York State. He is also a former undercover DEA agent and present part-time private investigator. He has secrets - dark ones. Randall Arthur's first real case involves the widow of a man he once worked with, a man he saw die in an explosion in Asia. The widow has been receiving eerie phone calls, saying that the truth about her husband's death has yet to be revealed. And the caller has directed her to Randall Arthur. The case he is about to take on will take him to the streets of his hometown of Falcon City, NY, and to Australia. It will cause him to relive events he does not necessarily want to relive. It will give him the chance to rectify the failure of his last mission with the DEA a few years ago, where the man they were after escaped and left several of Randall's colleagues dead. The man is now apparently selling a new type of heroin, which has reached the streets of Falcon City and has killed a young user. It will lead him to look insanity right in the face. ungekürzt. Ask Me Anything About Epistemology!: With Link to Video Version of Book , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 36min
Epistemology is the theory of knowledge. It is the discipline that makes it clear what conditions one must meet if one is to have knowledge. Epistemology thus explains how it is that we can have knowledge of the future, the past, and the present but imperceptible. Epistemology also explains how we can have knowledge of truths that concern abstract entities, such as numbers and properties, as opposed to spatio-temporal entities. Epistemology also explains how our ability to have a given kind of knowledge may interact with our ability to have some other kind of knowledge, so as to produce an ability to have a third kind of knowledge. Thus, our ability to understand truths of a purely mathematical kind interacts with our ability to grasp truths about the external world, in such a way as to produce an ability on our part to grasp laws of physics. Epistemology also explains how we can have knowledge of an external world, and it identifies the limits of such knowledge, some of the principles relating to which are embodied in important scientific principles, such as Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle. Finally, epistemology clarifies the nature and limits of our knowledge of ourselves; and in so doing, it elucidates the nature of the discoveries made by Freud and Chomsky, and also suggests ways to rearticulate and improve upon the theories put forth by those investigators. In this AMA (Ask Me Anything)-session, I answer people’s questions about epistemology. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Steve Twitchell. Follow the Flag": A History of the Wabash Railroad Company (Railroads in America) , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 954min
Follow the Flag offers the first authoritative history of the Wabash Railroad Company. Like most major American carriers, the Wabash grew out of an assortment of small firms, including the first railroad to operate in Illinois, the Northern Cross. Thanks in part to the genius of financier Jay Gould, by the early 1880s what was then known as the Wabash, St. Louis & Pacific Railway reached the principal gateways of Chicago, Des Moines, Detroit, Kansas City, and St. Louis. In the 1890s, the Wabash gained access to Buffalo and direct connections to Boston and New York City. The Great Depression forced the company into another receivership, but an effective reorganization during the early days of World War II gave rise to a generally robust road. Its famed Blue Bird streamliner, introduced in 1950 between Chicago and St. Louis, became a widely recognized symbol of the "New Wabash." When "merger madness" swept the railroad industry in the 1960s, the Wabash, along with the Nickel Plate Road, joined the prosperous Norfolk & Western Railway, a merger that worked well for all three carriers. Immortalized in the popular folk song "Wabash Cannonball", the Midwestern railroad has left important legacies. Today, 40 years after becoming a "fallen flag" carrier, key components of the former Wabash remain busy rail arteries and terminals, attesting to its historic value to American transportation. The book is published by Northern Illinois University Press. The audiobook is published by University Press Audiobooks."A major contribution to our understanding of American railroad development." (The Journal of American History)"One of the best in the genre of traditional corporate history." (Technology and Culture)"A well-written, in-depth history of the railroad." One Day Gone: Mylas Grey Mystery Series, Book 1 , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 484min
Mylas Grey is a private investigator, but don’t call him a private detective. That title belongs to his father, not to him. Mylas is the chief investigator for Senator Davis Allen, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. His job is to do background investigations for the president’s judicial nominees, and that’s the only kind of investigation he’s interested in doing. But then, Lizzie, the senator’s daughter, goes missing from her campus apartment. And suddenly, just like that, Mylas finds himself back in his hometown of Columbia, Missouri, investigating her disappearance as if he were a run-of-the-mill private detective.Nothing about the investigation is easy. Discovering a motive isn’t easy...Lizzie has a reputation for doing the unexpected, and she could have just left town for a few days without telling anyone. On the other hand, she could have done something stupid and gotten herself into serious trouble.Staying focused on the investigation isn’t easy...When Mylas meets a beautiful photographer at his brother’s church, and she offers to help him find Lizzie, he finds himself getting a little distracted from the investigation. Well, maybe, more than a little distracted. Revisiting his past isn’t easy...As Mylas is forced to spend time in his hometown, he begins to question his career choice, his rejection of Christianity, and his failed personal relationships. Solving the mystery of Lizzie’s disappearance isn’t easy...It gets even more complicated when Mylas learns Lizzie was researching an article for her campus newspaper about a judge with a secret past.
