This book sheds light on the problems with offering poor customer service and elucidates how companies can enhance customer service. Moreover, strategies for how brands can win back disaffected customers are also delineated. It is almost inconceivable to fathom that a preponderance of frontline employees do not care about providing stellar customer service even though their brand’s longevity and profitability depends on the quality of their resourcefulness in assisting the customer. The cost of a company having eminently poor customer service is quite devastating in the long haul to the company’s profitability. Furthermore, offering sub-par customer service can adversely impact a business in multiple facets beyond comprised profitability. Poor customer service not only elicits negative brand recognition, a comprised brand reputation, the loss of brand loyalty, the forfeiture of future lifetime customers, and a reduction of brand equity but can also lead to higher employee turnover rates. Moreover, offering abysmal customer service not only culminates in reduced employee morale but also causes negative word of mouth about the brand to be rapidly disseminated on social media websites like a wildfire. Inefficient customer service instances can transpire when even part of time is spent arguing with customers. This will almost always lead to unsatisfied customers.Treating customers without any respect and leaving their issues unresolved is one the fastest way to become infamous for having the most terrible customer service. It is estimated that in the United States alone, over 83 billion dollars of potential sales revenue each year is forgone due to customers receiving poor customer service. Irate, incompetent, and argumentative customer service representatives contribute to tarnishing a brand’s reputation and having their company succumb to negative net losses. ungekürzt. Google Archipelago: The Digital Gulag and the Simulation of Freedom explores the reach, penetration, power, and impact of Big Digital or the mega-information managers, social media platforms, Artificial Intelligence developers, providers of other web applications and functionalities, and the architects and proponents of the promised Internet of Things. Alphabet (Google, YouTube, etc.) Facebook and Instagram, Twitter, Yelp, and LinkedIn, as well as their many subsidiaries and competitors, comprise a digital collective Big Digital whose domain is global and whose ideological and functional power represents a force unlike any other in history.Big Digital, a non-governmental constellation of digital technology corporations, now presides over public and private life to such an extent that it rivals, if not surpassing, the governmental reach and penetration of many national governments, combined. Big Digital represents a new private form of government, or a governmentality, the means by which populations are governed, and the technologies that enable that governance. But the constraints of the political field superintended by Big Digital include more than censorship and bias. Constraints are structurally determined by the technology. The primary means behind Big Digital's governmental functions is ideology. And the ideology of Big Digital is decidedly leftist. I call Big Digital's ideology corporate leftism, or to borrow from and redefine a phrase coined by George Gilder, "Google Marxism". Corporate leftism comprises the set of values and beliefs now lodged within a growing number of US and other corporations. Corporate leftism informs the policies, politics, and procedures of Big Digital. But corporate leftism is also disseminated well beyond the work cultures of Big Digital's corporate headquarters and regional sites. Corporate leftism is not a subsidiary feature or incidental aspect of Big Digital. Leftism is coded into the very DNA of B ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: William Williams. Before he was the world's foremost Catholic biographer, Joseph Pearce was a leader of the National Front, a British nationalist, white supremacist group. Before he published books highlighting and celebrating the great Catholic cultural tradition, he disseminated literature extolling the virtues of the white race, and calling for the banishment of all non-whites from Britain.Pearce and his cohorts were at the center of the racial and nationalist tensions - often violent - that swirled around London in the late 1970s and early '80s. Eventually Pearce became a top member of the National Front and the editor of its newspaper, The Bulldog. He was a full-time revolutionary. In 1982, he was imprisoned for six months for hate speech, but he came out with more anger and more resolve. Several years later, he was imprisoned again, this time for a year, and it spurred a change in his life.In Race with the Devil: My Journey from Racial Hatred to Rational Love, Pearce himself takes the listener through his journey from racist revolutionary to Christian, including:The youthful influences that led him to embrace the National Front and their racist platformHis dark, angry, exhilarating, but ultimately empty days as a revolutionary on the front linesHis imprisonment and subsequent dark night of the soulThe role that Catholic luminaries such as G. K. Chesterton, Hilaire Belloc, and C. S. Lewis played in his conversion from racist radical to joyful ChristianAnd his eventual reception in the Catholic ChurchRace with the Devil is one man's incredible journey to Christ, but it also much more. It is a testament to God's hand active among us and the infinite grace that Christ pours out on his people, showing that we can all turn - or return - to Christ and his church. ungekürzt. These people wanted to entrench discriminatory policies and the nation's racial disparities in everything from wealth to health. Here's what American Racism Paradox has to offer:The History of Racism: Discover when racism appeared and how it managed to infect the minds of millions of Americans. From Colonialism Until Today: Find out how racism shaped the society since the 18th century and how it changed to become more heinous than ever before.A New Type of Slavery: Learn how people of color are slaves to the white supremacist society, even now in the 21st century. And much more!Even though racist ideas are easily produced, they can be as easily discredited. Abrahams wrote this book as an additional attempt to fight racism. American Racism Paradox sheds a light on the murky history of racist ideas and offers the listener all the tools they need to expose them. All Asanka knows is poetry. From his humble village beginnings in the great island kingdom of Lanka, he has risen to the prestigious position of court poet and now delights in his life of ease: composing romantic verses for love-struck courtiers, enjoying the confidence of his king, and covertly teaching Sarasi, a beautiful and beguiling palace maid, the secrets of his art. But when Kalinga Magha, a ruthless prince with a formidable army, arrives upon Lanka's shores, Asanka's world is changed beyond imagining. Violent, hubristic, and unpredictable, Magha usurps the throne, laying waste to all who stand in his way. Under his terrifying rule, nothing in the city is left untouched and, like many of his fellow citizens, Asanka retreats into the shadows, hoping to pass unnoticed by the tyrant. But it seems his new master is a lover of poetry.... To Asanka's horror, Magha tasks him with the translation of an epic Sanskrit poem, a tale of Gods and nobles, love and revenge, which the king believes will have a civilizing effect on his subjects, soothing their discontent and snuffing out the fires of rebellion he suspects are igniting across the island. Asanka has always believed that poetry makes nothing happen, but as each new chapter he writes is disseminated through the land and lines on the page become cries in the street, his belief and his loyalties are challenged. And, as Magha circles ever closer to the things Asanka treasures most, the poet will discover that true power lies not at the point of a sword, but in the tip of a pen. ungekürzt. Language: English. All human beings have Kundalini inside their bodies - some have awakened this energy, while many don't even know that it exists. The people who know about this are using more of their innate potential and are transforming themselves, others, and the world for the better. It's because this energy is none other than the force of evolution that drives the entirety of creation, and nature has placed it upon the base of our spines. Ancient people have known about the Kundalini, and they guarded the knowledge intensely to prevent people from abusing its power. For thousands of years, knowledge of how to activate it is passed only from guru to carefully selected student and never to anyone else. This has changed during recent times, when Kundalini masters finally disseminated the information to outsiders. This outpouring of Kundalini knowledge is said to be a response to the needs of modern times. As science and technology developed, materialism grew in strength, and spirituality was shelved as a relic of the ignorant past. People became distracted by their inventions and separated themselves from nature and their very own souls. Thus, perhaps it is the spirit itself that enticed humans' interest in the spiritual - something that old religions have attempted to do but did not achieve completely. Kundalini awakening is just one of the ways in which one can return to the divine. Doing so does not only bring great joy; it also enables him or her to access more of the energy that runs throughout creation and see more of reality as it really is. What you will learn in this guide: What is Kundalini awakening? The benefits of Kundalini awakening The history of Kundalini awakening How to practice Kundalini awakening ungekürzt. Recent polls suggest that fewer than 40 per cent of Americans believe in Darwin's theory of evolution, despite it being one of science's best-established findings. More and more parents are refusing to vaccinate their children for fear it causes autism, though this link has been consistently disproved. And about 40 per cent of Americans believe that the threat of global warming is exaggerated, despite near consensus in the scientific community that manmade climate change is real. Why do people believe bunk? And what causes them to embrace such pseudoscientific beliefs and practices? Noted skeptic Massimo Pigliucci sets out to separate the fact from the fantasy in this entertaining exploration of the nature of science, the borderlands of fringe science, and - borrowing a famous phrase from philosopher Jeremy Bentham - the nonsense on stilts. Presenting case studies on a number of controversial topics, Pigliucci cuts through the ambiguity surrounding science to look more closely at how science is conducted, how it is disseminated, how it is interpreted, and what it means to our society. The result is in many ways a "taxonomy of bunk" that explores the intersection of science and culture at large. No one - not the public intellectuals in the culture wars between defenders and detractors of science nor the believers of pseudoscience themselves - is spared Pigliucci's incisive analysis. In the end, Nonsense on Stilts is a timely reminder of the need to maintain a line between expertise and assumption. Broad in scope and implication, it is also ultimately a captivating guide for the intelligent citizen who wishes to make up her own mind while navigating the perilous debates that will affect the future of our planet. ungekürzt. For more than twenty-five years, David Nott has taken unpaid leave from his job as a general and vascular surgeon with the NHS to volunteer in some of the world's most dangerous war zones. From Sarajevo under siege in 1993, to clandestine hospitals in rebel-held eastern Aleppo, he has carried out life-saving operations and field surgery in the most challenging conditions, and with none of the resources of a major London teaching hospital. The conflicts he has worked in form a chronology of twenty-first-century combat: Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Darfur, Congo, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Gaza and Syria. But he has also volunteered in areas blighted by natural disasters, such as the earthquakes in Haiti and Nepal.Driven both by compassion and passion, the desire to help others and the thrill of extreme personal danger, he is now widely acknowledged to be the most experienced trauma surgeon in the world. But as time has gone on, David Nott began to realize that flying into to a catastrophe - whether war or natural disaster - was not enough. Doctors on the ground needed to learn how to treat the appalling injuries that war inflicts upon its victims. Since 2015, the Foundation he set up with his wife, Elly, has disseminated the knowledge he has gained, training other doctors in the art of saving lives threatened by bombs and bullets.War Doctor is his extraordinary story,

Most today are all too familiar with the unimaginable horrors, hardship, and heartache suffered by millions of North Koreans each passing day, as well as the unspeakable circumstances in Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, and other war zones, as they very well should be. Average consumers of international news, however, are completely ignorant of the hideous plight and even the existence of the Uighurs themselves, a unique, multi-faceted people paddling strenuously in similarly dire straits. For the most part, the Uighurs are based in East Turkestan, more commonly referred to as the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. This prodigious plot of land boasts a total land area of over 1.665 million km², or 640,000 mi², and is, as China puts it, the largest administrative division in the country. The pro-independence inhabitants of East Turkestan, on the other hand, have been fighting for decades to regain sole control of their motherland - as of now, to no avail. The Uighurs' active pursuit for independence is not an isolated phenomenon. It is reminiscent of the ongoing friction between Taiwan and China, as well as Hong Kong and China, the independence-seekers of the former states struggling to sever its ties with the Red Dragon. That being said, unlike Taiwan, which is managed by an entirely separate constitutional democratic government, and Hong Kong, classified as a special administrative region run by a Chief Executive and Executive Council with its own judicial system, Xinjiang, though technically autonomous, is still very much under the Chinese yoke.Xinjiang is overseen by its own Communist Party Secretary and Chairman, who are reviled as “puppets of Beijing” behind closed doors. In 2012, Uighurs discreetly disseminated a poem about a former Xinjiang Chairman entitled “Salaam, Nur Bekri”, which skewered Bekri for his ineffective leadership; among their concerns were the climbing unemployment rates within the Uighur comm ungekürzt.
