Mr. Beautiful: Up in the Air, Book 4 , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 571min, (USK 18)
James She was my sin and my temple. I both worshipped and defiled there. Gloried and desecrated. Revered and debased. I've been remade four times in my life. It is a distinct feeling. Impossible to mistake. The very marked sensation of being unraveled and reknit into a new thing, a new person. It can be good or bad, helpful or harmful, but above all, it is unstoppable. I was remade when my parents died, went from a happy childhood into navigating a very dark world, with endless responsibilities, surrounded by enemies, and despairingly alone. It happened again at the hands of a cowardly predator. I'd become angrier with that one, more cynical, and it undoubtedly turned me into the kinky f**k I was today. The third happened swiftly. One day I looked up into a pair of pale blue eyes and saw the other half of my soul. Checkmate. I went from a completely controlled existence, a life where I made every decision with cold calculation, to a man overcome with feelings and emotions that were foreign but somehow wonderful. And all too soon after that cataclysmic change was this fourth one, this one where I begged a God I'd never entertained to spare the life of a woman that I could not live without. Mr. Beautiful is a continuation of the Up in the Air series, told from the male point of view, with POVs from James, Stephan, Tristan, Frankie, and Akira. Superlove: 3 Young Women, 3 Daddies, One Subway, No Judgement (Daddy Saga, Book 4) , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 28min, (USK 18)
“Come here, sweetheart! Blair and Kailyn, you come, too!” My daddy yells from across the train car. It was my daddy who arranged all of this. He pulled a ton of strings to get this train car to appear out of service to passengers. I have no idea how Micah and Kailyn found their way on it - must have been fate.“We’ve decided that you’re going to take turns, and we’re going to service each of you pretty, young things all at once. How does that sound?”“Woah....” I say. My breath fades into cold air, and I’m left speechless. The Story So Far (In Previous Stories in the Series):In Taking Me in the Kitchen, Dominick met Abby, who’s father works for Dominick. They began an affair quickly afterwards. In Video Audition for DADDY, Harley met Blair when she came into his office for a modeling audition. They had sex right then and there and have since started a relationship. They met Dominick and Abby and decided to start having sex all together....Finally, in Kailyn All Over, Micah has been getting to know Kailyn for about a year, while he’s been dating Kailyn’s mother. One night, after Kailyn breaks up with her boyfriend, Micah comforts and the two have sex. They decide to pursue a relationship afterwards. A year or so later, Micah and Kailyn stumble onto an empty subway train where Dominick, Abby, Harley, and Blair are all having sex and decide to join....Feelings will get hurt, many body parts will be defiled, and nothing is off-limits in the conclusion of this four-part series. There's plenty of filthy physical acts, but tons of juicy drama and betrayal as well! ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Sierra Kline. The Siege of Masada: A Historical Drama of the Famous Battle Between the Jews and Romans , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 62min
The Siege of Masada was the final battle in a long series of fights that constituted the First Jewish-Roman War. The Roman Empire had established control over the region in the 1st century BCE, when the Roman proconsul Pompey the Great took control of Jerusalem and ceremonially defiled their temple. This mix of political control and religious desecration was a contentious issue for the Judeans throughout the Roman period, and militant activists opposed to Roman rule, often espousing strongly held religious beliefs, frequently developed large followings to challenge the Roman authorities. This led to multiple violent clashes between the Judeans and the Romans, and the First Jewish-Roman War (66-73 CE) was one such clash. The Roman troops marched through and made their military might felt, first in the northern region of Galilee, then down the coast where they finally laid siege to the capital city of Jerusalem. This left three Roman fortress outposts, including Masada, that had been built by Herod the Great but had been taken over by various Judean factions. Masada was the last of these fortresses that the Romans attacked and proved the most difficult for them to seize, but seize it they did. However, what made this battle qualitatively different from most was not just the difficulty Rome had in retaking control of it with incredibly disproportionate military equipment and numbers, but also the actions of the Judean defenders. In the final hours of the battle, just as the Romans were about to breach the walls of the city, the defenders gathered together and committed mass suicide, rather than being killed or taken captive by the Romans. ungekürzt. The Siege of Masada: The History and Legacy of the Battle that Ended the First Jewish-Roman War , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 109min
Many westerners have never even heard of the Siege of Masada, and those who have may simply know it as an obscure reference to a minor battle fought in a remote location of the Roman world. By contrast, virtually all Israeli school children know the story of Masada as a premier example of nationalistic pride. The heroic story of a small band of fighters facing incalculable odds has many elements that are reminiscent of both the Battle of Thermopylae and the Battle of the Alamo. The refrain "Masada shall not fall again", coined in a poem on the subject by Yitzak Lamdan, became a cry of resolve in battle for Israeli soldiers in the 20th century, just as the cry of "Remember the Alamo" had galvanized Americans. For decades the Israelite military used the site of Masada as the location for swearing in their new recruits; the choice of the site was designed to evoke within the new soldiers a deep sense of connection with their national history. The Siege of Masada was the final battle in a long series of fights that constituted the First Jewish-Roman War. The Roman Empire had established control over the region in the first century BCE, when the Roman proconsul Pompey the Great took control of Jerusalem and ceremonially defiled their temple by entering it. This mix of political control and religious desecration was a contentious issue for the Judeans throughout the Roman period, and militant activists opposed to Roman rule, often espousing strongly held religious beliefs, frequently developed large followings to challenge the Roman authorities. This led to multiple violent clashes between the Judeans and the Romans, and the First Jewish-Roman War (66-73 CE) was one such clash (albeit on a larger scale than most).
