Charles Murray is a songwriter who lives in Denver, Colorado. He performs with his band, Blue Serge Dirge, as often as popular taste and club owners will tolerate. He has been described as either a throwback or ahead of his times, apparently out of sync with the space/time continuum. Murray's songs run the gamut from acutely observed social satire, such as the material found on A Preview of the Apocalypse, to the highly personal introspective musings of Fearless Love, his 2011 album. Like his mentors, Irving Berlin and Woody Guthrie, Murray has written in excess of 1,000 songs and shows no signs of slowing down. As he said in a recent interview, "Until somebody breaks both my hands or they give me a lobotomy, I guess I'll keep on churning them out." We can only hope that neither of these circumstances occur in the near term. Murray always enjoys hearing from his several fans or his many critics. You can reach him by email at cw.murray@comcast.net.

This album has undergone a lot of growth since it's conception last fall and I have found that at a certain point I had to surrender and let the songs tell me what they wanted vs. Pushing the known formula or ideal version. I have been blessed to be working with amazingly talented musicians and recording engineer who I think have all been angels in disguise! (except for that one guy...,p jk ) We have literally had an acoustic violin explode, an amp short circuit and smoke, and one song that had to be completely taken apart and redone from scratch about 3 times -lobotomy style. But we have also had charmed sessions where the songs fell into place perfectly on the first take much to all our amazement. In the midst of all this I realized that I kept hearing myself say "I'm just laying down the groundwork with this album" as I explained what I'm doing and where I'm at musically. This is like setting the stage for the music to come. The next album is already beating at my ribcage wanting out and telling me all it wants to do and say. I can barely keep up with the internal momentum and visioning. And side by side with this, all my spare time is spent up to my elbows in dirt -with hoes, shovels, and weed-whackers.We've been breaking ground and preparing the soil on an organic sustainable farm which is the other work I love-taking command of my future and the future of the planet literally by the roots.Because I care what kind of place I leave to my baby girl and her babies...my motto lately has been SLOW DOWN! Step back...re-evaluate what we really need, what will really last,vs.what we've just been lulled into accepting. Pretty massive when you stop to think about it. That's why I'm going back to the roots.Because from there it all becomes so clear. So instead of keeping the original title "Hook,Line,Sinker" which was conceptualized around water and fishing for my Destiny,I am changing the name to "Ground Work" because that is essentially what it is,and that's what I'm doing- cultivating my future from the ground on up-in every way. The harvest season is upon us and it seems my EP will prove to be yet another delicious fruit of my hard labor. LOVE! Gina Mari.

Warren Bloom is one of America's premiere musical Renaissance men. A singer songwriter, percussionist and harmonica player, he has penned, performed and recorded songs in many musical genres: Ballads, Reggae, Folk, Country, Hard Rock and Classic Rock and Roll. Bloom's first album was as a member of 'The Facedancers' on Paramount Records. The album was produced by Teo Macero, The legendary producer of Miles Davis. Hall and Oates played on and produced Bloom's rendition of 'Natural Sinner' on Jamie Records. His original song 'Bonfire' was preformed live by Pat Benatar. Through out his career, Warren has garnered an amazing array of kudos from his peers. Darryl Hall said, ' You sing better than me!' No less a luminary than Lou Reed said 'You really know how to sing the ballads, and that's the hardest thing to do.' Pat Benatar remarked, 'You remind me of Bob Dylan, your style is so original.' Jim Quinn of the Philadelphia Inquirer wrote, ' Warren Bloom can do anything with his voice, and apparently isn't afraid to try. It's nice to hear some sing in his own voice.' All of which could make anyone's ego soar into the ozone, but Bloom is also considered to be one of the nicest guys in the Big Apple by his many friends. Warren Bloom grew up in Fairfield CT, where he was a state high school tennis champion and voted his high school's 'class clown.' He graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in communications. He played in rock bands throughout college, and then moved to Philadelphia obtaining a Master Degree in communications at Temple University. When he wasn't hitting the books, he was hitting musical heights performing with Philadelphia's legendary comedy rock band Lobotomy. The group preformed live at the' Electric Factory', 'The Bijou' and 'The Mercer Art Center in NYC.' The group changed their name to 'The Face Dancers' and recorded an album that is now a collector's item on the Internet. Bloom was the lead singer and co-wrote all the songs. The group was featured on several radio and television shows. Moving to N.Y.C., Bloom rocked out regularly at Catch a Rising Star, The Bitter End and the Village Gate. He is a two-time winner of ASCAP's performance award. His first solo album ' Thanks For the Fantasy' came out on 'Rocking Chair Records' in 1996. His new album ' Miracle Morning' was released in 2002. The album features twelve original Bloom tunes and the Bloom Band.
