Ainsi, il passe en revue de manière critique toutes les définitions scientifiques de la littérature africaine en révélant l'absence de pertinence de ces définitions. L'objectif principal de ce livre était d'explorer les perceptions et les attitudes des hommes et des femmes à l'égard du vote dans la ville de Gweru. Les principaux objectifs de cet ouvrage étaient tout d'abord de découvrir les points de vue des hommes et des femmes concernant le processus d'inscription des électeurs dans la ville de Gweru. Ensuite, l'étude a cherché à démêler la perception et les attitudes des hommes et des femmes vis-à-vis du vote et de sa pertinence dans la ville de Gweru. Le dernier objectif était d'explorer les facteurs qui poussent les hommes et les femmes à voter dans la ville de Gweru. L'étude a été réalisée selon un modèle de recherche descriptif et à l'aide de deux instruments de recherche, à savoir des questionnaires et des entretiens. La population cible de l'étude était principalement les hommes et les femmes de Gweru Urban ainsi que les parties prenantes de la région. Les résultats de l'étude ont révélé que les hommes ont généralement des attitudes et des perceptions plus positives que les femmes en ce qui concerne le vote dans la ville de Gweru. L'étude recommande de renforcer l'éducation, la sensibilisation aux questions de genre, l'accès à l'information et l'amélioration des systèmes de vote afin d'accroître la participation des hommes et des femmes aux élections.
