2011 Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande Grand Cru Classé Pauillac A.C.
Robert Parker: 89 Punkte The dark ruby/plum-colored 2011 Pichon Longueville, Comtesse de Lalande is an elegant, suave, medium-bodied effort with abundant black cherry and red and black currant fruit. Nearly St.-Julien-like in its texture and personality, this is a well-made, finesse-styled Pauillac to drink over the next 10-15 years. Wine Spectator: 91 Punkte Warm savory and tobacco leaf notes lead the way, with a cedary frame surrounding the lightly mulled plum and cherry fruit. Cassis bush and tobacco accents are embedded on the finish. Very solid, but lacks extra drive. Trinkreife: von 2015 bis 2027 Decanter: 17,5 Punkte Very fine expression of Cabernet cassis, lovely refreshingly lifted fruit, great elegance and charm and hidden power to last. Trinkreife: von 2016 bis 2035- Shop: Ludwig von Kapff

2011 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron Grand Cru Classé Pauillac A.C.
Robert Parker: 91 Punkte Its bigger, more famous sibling, the 2011 Pichon Longueville Baron exhibits a dense ruby/purple color, an opulent mouthfeel for a 2011, silky tannins and no hard edges. Medium-bodied and well-endowed, it is a major success in this vintage. It should hit its stride in 3-4 years and last for 15+. Wine Spectator: 92 Punkte Shows a taut feel for now, with lots of cassis and blackberry fruit, lined with iron and bramble notes. Dark and well-toasted yet integrated overall, this should stretch out after moderate cellaring, as there's an ample core of dark, fleshy fruit. Trinkreife: von 2016 bis 2028 Decanter: 17,5 Punkte Ripe Cabernet cassis fruit, very good structure and length, firm Pauillac elegance. Trinkreife: von 2017 bis 2030- Shop: Ludwig von Kapff
